North Brewing Co - Triple Fruited Gose (Mango, Raspberry, Blueberry).
I am not sure I am cut out for writing beer reviews but given that's what I sell in the shop now seems like a good time to try it. Given the beer that is in the shop I was craving a nice sessionable pale but I check my stash at home and I confronted by piney IPAs and thick juicy DIPAs - all gorgeous I am sure but not what I want right now - must remember to snag some beers for myself next week. In the end I pick this Gose from North Brewing as it tips the scales at a very reasonable 4.5% Abv and is likely to be refreshing.
So I pour it out and it's clear which fruit won the colour battle as this looks like raspberry juice. On the nose it's obviously a fruity beer but with the mix of fruits none comes through overly strong on the sniff test. One gulp in and I am liking this, raspberry bounces off my tongue and a kick of mango comes through and you also get that mango thickness in the mouthfeel. I also get the dry finish from the blueberries with a pinch of salt taking the tartness down. Pretty damn tasty.
